Knik 200 is Underway!

Matt is finally out on the Knik 200 race course, starting 13th at 11:24 Am Saturday morning. Updates have been posted as the racers have been entering and leaving the halfway checkpoint at Skwentna, and Matt is presently in the front of the pack! He arrived into Skwentna at 9:07Pm last night after a 9 hour and 43 minute run. He then had a mandatory 6 hour break during which the dogs were fed, massaged and thoroughly checked over. He departed from Skwentna at 3:53Am, in 11th place out of 36! I'm expecting him to finish around 2 pm this afternoon if his times are comparable to the first half of the race.
